Projects fro art rotation #13
Well the year is quickly coming to a close. Rotation #13 will start Monday, June 5th and end on the last day of school....June 16th (which is a 1/2 day). Only groups A & C will come to art during this rotation. In addition, most grade levels have field trips that will disrupt art classes, we have several assemblies scheduled in the final two weeks of school AND of course, we have the annual talent shows, Field Day and the PTO Carnival during this final two weeks as well. It will be a very crazy two weeks. Here are the projects that we will attempt to complete during the final two weeks.
projects for art rotation #12
It's hard to believe the end of the year is so near. For some students, this is the last rotation I will see them for this year. Rotation #12 starts on May 15th and goes until June 2nd. Although I'm really excited to do these projects this time....I'm especially excited about the printmaking projects with the 5th & 6th graders. I know the students will enjoy making their own artist trading cards to share with friends and family. I got the Artist Trading cards free from Feed the Children's Teacher Store in Elkhart. I appreciate their contribution to our school and our art program.
Projects for art rotation #11
As the school year is winding down, I look back at all the fun we've had in art. I feel truly blessed to have had the chance to work with your kids this year. We still have some awesome projects to do. It's been fun to watch them grow over the past 7 months. Hopefully they have enjoyed art as much as I have. Rotation #11 starts on Monday April 24th and will end on Friday, May 12th. Due to spring testing and field trips, so students may not be able to complete some projects.
Projects for Art Rotation #10
Rotation #10 starts on Monday, March 27th and goes through April 21st. Some spring and Easter projects and a couple of projects I've been excitedly collecting cardboard for for months now. Hope you all enjoy these beautiful projects.
Projects for art rotation #9
Rotation #9 starts on Monday, March 6th and goes through March 24th. We're coming into the home stretch. It's hard to believe that at the end of this rotation, we'll be 3/4 of the way through the school year. During this rotation we'll be sprucing up the school with spring projects as well as having some St. Patrick's Day fun. Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade students are also working with tangram puzzles to practice making pictures from shapes. Soon we will create tangram pictures using paper tangrams, so we are practicing for the "real deal". 5th and 6th grade projects will remain the same. I had planned on taking two rotations to complete the op-art projects, but we never got to the texture food projects last time, so both are carried over to this rotation. Some of the op-art projects are really neat. Many of the kids are working on cube projects. I've hung up many nice pieces.
Projects for art Rotation #8
Rotation #8 starts on Monday, February 13th and goes through March 3rd. I have to say, I'm pretty excited about the projects for this rotation. First, we are learning about optical illusions. First through sixth grades will be making projects for that. We'll be watching some "how to draw" videos and some art history videos about Op Art. I think they kids will find the projects fun. Then, I found some amazing paper at a special site for teachers. The price on eBay is $27 for a one pound packet of hand-made paper, and I got it for a little over $2 a packet. All grades 1st-6th will be using the paper for different projects. I hope you enjoy seeing all these projects as much as I am.
Projects for Art rotation #7
Rotation #7 starts on Monday, January 23rd and goes through Friday, February 10th. Our last rotation was so much fun! It's funny to me that kids see the other grade level projects and want to do them. Some kids even do them during their free time. Many of the student's artwork is hanging in the hallways and I will slowly replace last rotation art with rotation #7's projects. I have a hard time getting the kids to let me keep their work....even when they know they will get it back. Here are our winter and Valentine projects for Rotation #7. Only 5 more rotations to go....and the planning is underway! Stay tuned for some really fun projects coming soon!
Projects for Art Rotation #6
Rotation #6 starts on Tuesday, January 3rd and goes through Friday,January 20th. Well, it's winter....and we're going to be learning about snowflakes and doing projects about snow and winter topics. I hope you enjoy these projects.
Projects for Art rotation #5
Rotation #5 starts on Monday, November 28th and goes through Friday, December 16th. It's hard to believe that in just a few short weeks it will be Christmas Break. This is the only time that we will have to work on some awesome Christmas projects. Here's a sneak peek....I'm posting here before posting on Facebook, so if you see it before Friday, November 25th....well, thanks for checking out my website.
Projects for art rotation #4
Rotation #4 starts Monday, November 7th and goes through Wednesday, November 23rd. We only gave 1/2 days on Tuesday, November 8th and Wednesday, November 23rd, with no school Thursday and Friday, November 24th & 25th due to Thanksgiving. These pictures are samples students will have to look at during this rotation.
Projects for art rotation #3
Rotation #3 starts on Monday, October 17th and will go through Friday, November 4th. Unfortunately, due to conferences during the first week, not all students will be doing all projects. The good news is that all projects are fun, and everyone will have some cute fall projects to decorate your homes. 3rd-6th grades will be working with chalk pastels this week. I can't wait to see what the students can do!
Projects for Art Rotation #2
Rotation #2 goes from September 26th through October 14th. After having a week to get to know the kids in each of the classes, I've been able to plan some more varied projects, using Fall as our theme. Again, these are samples I found to build the lessons around, not actual work from our students. I will keep some projects at school for display now, and possibly in our end-of-the-year Art Show. I've enjoyed working as the art teacher and am really looking forward to a wonderful year!
Projects for Rotation #1 in Art
Here are images of the projects students will be doing in the first rotation of art specials. Students projects will be grouped into Kindergarten projects, 1st & 2nd grade projects, 3rd & 4th grade projects and 5th & 6th grade projects. At this time, these images are internet or website samples, not actual Sam Adams Student work. Our first rotation will be from September 6th to September 23, 2016.
